KATHTHI PRODUCER DENIES CONTROVERSY

Few weeks before we reported you that Vijay's Kaththi is in controversy as Tamil organization feels that the film's producers Lyca is a close friend of Rajapakshe.

Even many other newspapers and online portals have carried the same, now Lyca has issued a press statement by saying that they are Tamil people's well wishers and in fact they have done many welfare activities for Sri Lankan Tamils.

Aynagaran Karunakaran has said in a interview that he is producing the film on his own and Lyca is funding him. Karunakaran also added that Lyca's Subash Karan is his close friend and he is a Tamilian from Sri Lanka.

Karuna says they have went to Sri Lanka to help Sri Lankan Tamils and they didn't have any dealings with Rajapakshe, Karuna says he could remove Lyca as one of the producers but if he does then the news which came will become true.

The press statement says that the film will be wrapped up by August and so far 40% of the shooting has been completed.The makers have also said that Kaththi will be a Diwali release.
